The Project Manager plays a crucial role in the successful execution of projects. As the key point of contact for clients, they are responsible for coordinating project teams, developing schedules and timelines, and ensuring the timely completion of projects.
Responsibilities- Act as primary point of contact for clients on assigned projects.
- Develop schedules and timelines that support business objectives, established budgets, resources, and project deliverables.
- Coordinate day-to-day execution of the overall project delivery process.
- Ensure projects are executed within approved budget and schedule, and in accordance with company Quality requirements.
- Manage risks and issues, and take corrective measurements.
- Prepare technically accurate and timely reports related to the project.
- Manage stakeholders' communication, and prepare actions for management updates.
- Manage main project documentation, the project initiation document.
- Ensure invoices are properly prepared in accordance with contractual terms, and issued to clients in a timely manner.
- Prepare and submit time charge records and expense reports in a timely manner in accordance with company procedures.
- Bachelor of Science and at least one year of experience in the maritime and/or offshore industry.
- Typically requires a minimum of 1-3 years of project management-related experience in a lead role.
- Ability to effectively speak and write English fluently.
- Experience and knowledge of project management methodologies and techniques.
- Ability to work positively with a wide range of individuals involved in the project.
- The ability to identify, analyze, and solve complex and unique project-related problems.
- Ability to organize, plan, monitor, and control contractual project requirements, budgets, schedules, and technical work.
- Proficient with PM tools and software (i.e., MS Office and MS Project).
- Possesses good communication skills both orally and in writing technical issues to personnel who may or may not be in related technical fields.
- The desire and ability to work as a member of a team.
- Realization of financial aspects of approved business plans and budgets pertaining to the project.
- Obtain a working knowledge of the ABS Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental Management System.
- Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or a general certification in Project Management.
Reports to a Senior Project Manager, Program Manager, Director, or Executive level position.
Work is primarily sedentary; exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move object.
