Job Overview:

The Annual Giving Strategist plays a pivotal role in shaping the university's philanthropic landscape, responsible for leading a comprehensive annual giving program aimed at acquiring and retaining donors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops and executes strategic plans and budgets to drive growth in annual donations.
  • Directs communications and solicitation activities to engage stakeholders and promote philanthropic support.
  • Fosters innovation in fundraising methods and channels, ensuring the adoption of best practices.
  • Represents the university as a liaison to high-level donors and partners.
  • Communicates program objectives through various channels, including written materials, email, phone contact, personal visits, and social media platforms.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in higher education or nonprofit fundraising, preferably in a complex environment
  • Knowledge of fundraising CRM software
  • Experience with fundraising and donor engagement platforms
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and interest in AI tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
