Voice and Network Support Specialist

This role is ideal for a professional seeking to provide comprehensive support for customer BICS Voice and CC Value Streams in delivering high-quality line of customer and network services.
- Assure second-line support for all BICS Voice & Cloud Communication services and platforms.
- Monitor network availability and quality, performing proactive and reactive maintenance actions as required.
- Suggest improvements in the proactive tasks and processes.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge and experience in Telecom technologies and ITU/ETSI telecom standards/protocols, including SS7/ISUP, VoIP/SIP, RTP, MGCP, and good understanding of network switching and routing related to Unified Communications and Voice over IP networks.
They will also have some practical experience with NGN platforms, SBCs like Ribbon SBC, Metaswitch SBC, and signalling protocol monitoring tools, protocol and trace analysers.
Experience in the international Wholesale Telecom Business and knowledge on one of the following topics such as Metaswitch Perimeta SBC, Ribbon SBC (SBC5K and SWe) and Softswitch, NetNumber TITAN, LRF (Location Retrieval Function) implementations for emergency call handling, FreeSWITCH application server, Multiplatform unified communications, API technologies, SIP Registrar/Authentication mechanisms, VoLTE, STIR/SHAKEN concepts, and Unified communication and collaboration platforms will be an advantage.
Requirements- Relevant degree in Electronics, Computer Sciences, IT, ICT and/or Telecommunications.
- 3+ years experience in telecom, mainly in voice switching (mobile telecom operators or International carriers), with a focus on provisioning and repair activities.
