Job Title: Procurement Strategist

The role of a procurement strategist is to oversee the entire process of acquiring goods and services for a company. This involves developing strategic plans, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring that all transactions are conducted in a legal and ethical manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leverage global agreements to secure best-in-class pricing and terms.
  2. Develop negotiation strategies to achieve optimal results.
  3. Identify opportunities to leverage company strengths during negotiations.
  4. Ensure end-to-end accountability throughout the procurement process.
  5. Create purchase orders and manage payment forecasts in collaboration with finance teams.
  6. Analyze market trends and identify potential vendors.
  7. Coordinate with internal customers to meet new sourcing requirements and subcontract needs.
  8. Prepare requests for proposals in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  9. Evaluate commercial proposals and negotiate contract terms.
  10. Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and conditions of contracts.
  11. Complete and obtain signatures on approval documentation.
  12. Negotiate cost reductions and savings with vendors.
  13. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices in negotiating and procuring services.
  14. Renew existing contracts and licenses as needed.
  15. Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and timely receipt of required documents.
  16. Manage changes to contracts and purchase orders through the change order process.
  17. Oversee invoicing and payment processes for contracts/purchase orders.
  18. Filer all documents properly in designated systems.
  19. Perform audits to ensure compliance with multiple vendors.
  20. Provide regular progress reports as required.
  21. Manage commercial closeout of contracts.
  22. Maintain compliance with global processes, procedures, and policies.
  23. Make recommendations for continuous improvement of relevant processes, procedures, policies, and systems.
  24. Analyze data and costs to inform business decisions.

Required Qualifications and Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Foreign Trade, Business Administration, Economics, Law, Engineering, International Relations, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in purchasing and subcontracting, preferably in an EPCI company related to oil and gas.
  • Advanced English language skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience in sourcing and evaluating commercial proposals.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and SPMAT.
