The Business Development Executive is a sales position responsible for developing and acquiring new clients to Gartner. The territory for this role includes specific mid-sized client accounts with revenue targets between $50 million and $500 million per annum.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and develop new business opportunities with new-to-Gartner organizations.
- Own the full sales cycle from prospecting through close.
- Convert viable prospects to active Gartner clients, leading the full sales conversation and negotiation through to the transition of new clients to the account management team.
- Continually build an encouraging pipeline of relevant opportunities to deliver against your sales metrics ensuring KPIs are met.
- Manage complex high-revenue sales across matrix and diverse business environments.
- Exercise forecast accuracy on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis.
- Bachelor's degree.
- 3-7 years of experience in B2B sales within either technology, SaaS, services, or a consultative environment.
- Proven demonstration of intellect, drive, executive presence, and sales acumen.
- Competitive drive with a collaborative approach.
- Proven track record meeting and exceeding sales targets in a business development/new business environment.
- Experience selling to and/or influencing C-level executives.
- Proven ability to precisely manage and forecast a complex sales process.
