Business Development Lead

Lhr Américas is seeking a seasoned Business Development Lead to join our Development Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for directing activities related to sourcing, screening, analyzing, planning, and developing business ventures or portfolios of ventures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the business development process through deal closure, ensuring alignment with proposal progress and stage gates.
  • Prioritize business proposals against investment criteria, pre-determined scope, and objectives of deals.
  • Develop and offer commercial and technical solutions to enhance our business offering.
  • Work with investors to establish high-level strategic, financial, and operational goals and milestones for new ventures.
  • Review investor proposals and approve contract payments and variations within authority limits.
  • Act as a primary contact for contractors, consultants, and vendors.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure deal alignment and progression.
  • Lead business portfolios and manage development of commercial agreements, providing analysis on reviewing legal documents.
  • Manage negotiation strategy development and execution.
  • Prepare and present corporate committees and executive briefs.
  • Provide administrative direction to Business Development staff, including job performance appraisals and human resources development roles.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 12 years of experience.
  • CFA, CMA, PMP, or similar skills/experience.
  • Industry expertise and knowledge of specific business transaction and venturing activities.
  • Expertise in financial analysis of companies and transaction valuation.
  • Focused knowledge and experience in carve-out divestment, financial restructuring, or initial public offering (IPO).
  • Experience in dealing with local or industry-specific best practices and regulatory and governmental mandates.
