We are a fast-growing global reinsurance speciality company servicing the insurance markets of Lloyd’s, Europe and North America.

We’re looking for a detail-driven and motivated Accountant to join our growing Finance team at Compre. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic financial reporting cycle and work within a complex and evolving group structure.

You will support monthly close processes, provide analytical insight and collaborate across departments to drive financial accuracy and improvements. If you’re ready to grow both technically and commercially in a supportive and progressive environment — we want to hear from you.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Support the monthly financial close, focusing on non-technical balance sheet areas.
- Prepare accurate balance sheet reconciliations and resolve outstanding items.
- Deliver insightful commentary on actual vs budgeted performance.
- Monitor liquidity and cash positions of subsidiary service companies.
- Assist with FP&A and board reporting, including variance analysis.
- Collaborate with Group Reporting and Treasury to ensure consistency.
- Help document and implement process improvements and internal controls.
- Support audit preparation and liaise with external auditors.
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA or equivalent) — or working towards qualification.
- Experience with reconciliations and monthly close processes.
- Strong Excel skills; confident working with large datasets
- Experience with finance systems (e.g. SAP Concur, Sun) is a plus.
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Skilled in variance analysis and financial commentary.
- Effective communicator — both written and verbal.
- Self-motivated with strong prioritisation skills.
- Collaborative team player, keen to engage cross-functionally.
