We are looking for an Accountant to join our growing site in Malta to provide day to day finance support in preparing and delivering management accounts.

**As our Accountant, you’ll support HID’s success by**:

- Managing daily accounting functions, ensuring that financial transactions are properly recorded
- Preparing monthly management accounts and other financial reports
- Analysing financial data.
- Providing assistance on budgeting and forecasting
- Performing payroll checks and related accounting
- Preparation of VAT returns and other tax compliance
- Providing support on capital expenditures
- Supporting Operations through analysis of labour and machine performance
- Driving implementation of internal control procedures
- Identifying trends in financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement
- Providing assistance during the internal and external audit

**What we will love about your background**:

- Applicants in possession of a University degree in Accounting or ACCA qualification
- Applicants with less qualification but with a number of work experience will also be considered
- Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing Computer Skills
- Strong analytical and data gathering skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good problem-solving approach
- Excellent team player
- Good communication skills

**Your Experience and Education include**:

- At least 4 years of working experience in a similar position, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience in Oracle accounting system is considered an asset
