Transportation Specialist, Br Commercial Carriers

Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Engineering, or related field - Experience in transportation or logistics - Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools - Basic SQL knowledge - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Experience with performance metrics and KPI tracking
This position will support the optimization of third-party carrier operations through data analysis and operational execution. Work closely with the Commercial Carrier Optimization Manager to implement transportation solutions Key job responsibilities - Execute daily carrier performance monitoring and reporting - Support relationship management with assigned carriers - Assist in analyzing network losses and implementing corrective actions - Process and validate carrier data for performance tracking - Maintain operational dashboards and regular reports - Support package return processes for assigned regions - Help document standard operating procedures - Participate in cross-functional projects with Network Losses team - Assist in data collection and analysis for optimization initiatives A day in the life - Update dashboards with latest metrics - Flag issues to Commercial Carrier Optimization Manager - Participate in weekly carrier review meeting - Present performance data - Follow up on previous week's action items - Deep dive analysis on specific network loss areas - Update tracking spreadsheets - Create visual representations of data for stakeholders - Collaborate with data analysts on specific queries - Work on ongoing optimization projects - Update process documentation - Send status updates to key stakeholders - Support impromptu data requests - Troubleshoot dashboard issues - Collaborate with cross-functional teams About the team Key Stakeholder Interactions: Internal Teams: - Carrier Managers - collaborate on WBRs, MBRs and carriers' performance discussions - Network Loss Team - Collaborate on loss/damage dive deeps, reduction strategies, DNR investigations, etc - Transportation Operations - Daily alignment on carrier performance and operational issues External Partners: - 3P Carriers - Regular performance reviews and improvement discussions - Carrier Operations Teams - Daily operational alignment and issue resolution
- Experience with carrier management systems
- Advanced SQL knowledge
- Previous experience in e-commerce logistics
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Knowledge of transportation industry best practices
