**About the Team**
UberShuttle, also known as High Capacity Vehicles (HCV), is one of the most ambitious growth bets in Uber's mobility business. We are building a commuting experience that is safe, reliable and affordable for everyday commuters.
Built on Uber's mobility tech stack, we're making booking a guaranteed seat on a bus from a variety of routes and stops as easy as a few clicks and a short walk. Our service caters to both corporate clients who provide shuttle service for their workers, as well as individual riders. UberShuttle operates throughout the United States, Brazil, Mexico, India, and the Middle East.
Our team's vision is to build a magical shuttle ride for everyone, every day. In doing so - we make transportation more accessible and cities more efficient and more sustainable.
**About the Role**
Brazil is one of the most important markets for Uber worldwide, and we believe UberShuttle has the potential to change the way Brazilians move around their cities.
As the head of our Brazilian business, you will work closely with the leadership team to design the strategy and roadmap for how we build Brazil into one of the biggest UberShuttle markets globally and then proceed to execute it with your team. That will include launching and scaling the product across the biggest cities in Brazil, as well as building our B2B business across the country.
**What You'll Do**
- **Operations**: Scale HCV B2B business, hire the team and prepare the grounds for launching and scaling B2C in Sao Paulo and other cities in Brazil.
- **P&L Ownership**: Manage the budget and incentives of the fast growing low cost portfolio
- **Competition**: Understand market trends and gather competitive intelligence to inform strategic decisions on market positioning
- **External stakeholder management**: Work with local partners (government, press, fleet partners, etc.) to set the business up for scale in your cities
- **Program / Project Management**: Collaborate with UberShuttle regional teams to coordinate initiatives, share takeaways and streamline Ops effort
- **Project Delivery**: Design, execute and lead strategic projects that deliver impact
- **Analyze data**: Keep tab of the metrics and delve into the rider & driver data to validate your hypothesis and make data driven decisions
- **Be an owner**: We're building a business and there's a lot that we don't know. You will need to be a self starter that doesn't shy away from facing challenges and takes initiative to ensure we move the business forward.
**What You'll Need**
- 8+ years of consistent track record of being a respected operational problem solver and motivating team and leader with vision who does not shy away from getting their hands dirty
- Strong product understanding and exposure with Product Teams
- Experience in designing, implementing, and analyzing strategic investments with a track record of successfully driving daring growth
- Deep analytical and critical-thinking ability
- Strong, proven cross functional and indirect team management experience
- Experience setting budgets and plans for new cities
- Demonstrated experience interpreting and communicating data to various audiences; ability to translate quantitative findings into action plans
- Very strong communication and organization skills
- Can do attitude; Expansion will be a lean team and responsibilities may fall out of one's exact job description; we are looking for a leader who is willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done.
- Balance attention to detail with swift execution - we need to do things quickly, and we need to do them well. Balancing those can be exciting, and this should be a strength
