Position Summary

Receiving Staff work together to manage the intake and distribution of materials to lodges and departments throughout the resort. Receiving Staff must have strong attention to detail to accurately pull orders for distribution. This is a physical job as staff load and unload trucks daily and work indoors and outdoors in variety of weather.

The schedule is flexible and can vary on a daily basis. Hours are based on business demands and weather.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities
- Pull food, beverage and other materials according to a pull list.
- Load carts for transportation in correct fashion. Unload and offload carts in the correct locations.
- Transport materials safely to locations.
- Receive freight into the correct locations upon arrival.
- Make accurate notes on transfers so the proper paperwork is created for distribution and inventory controls.
- Maintain clean work area, vehicles and warehouse.
- Be an active member of the Safety Huddle.
- Maintain accurate documentation of product movement.
- Secondary Function
- Fulfill move requests.
- Snow removal from the building and work aprons.
- Help other departments as assigned.
- Assist with inventory.
- Job Scope- Individual understands they work in the tourism industry at a ski area and will be required to work on weekends, holidays and Spring Breaks, days off will be during the week between Monday-Thursday.Use your knowledge of the products and package/unit sizes to determine how to accurately fill the orders/transfers as required. The accuracy is of the highest order in pulling and documenting the paperwork for all orders/transfers as this impacts inventory, food costs and waste of products. Attention to detail is paramount in this position Must be able to work as a “team” member and to understand and value the “team” concept. Not being able to become an active and integral part of the team may result in termination from this department. Accuracy when entering data on the computer and extreme attention to detail is required at all times Strong knowledge of Food & Beverage operations is essential for data entry operations- Interpersonal Contacts- This position will interact with fellow employees at the warehouse as well as at the various lodges around the resort, with guests during the delivery process and with vendors at the warehouse. Must be able to actively listen to guests (internal and external) input carefully and respond appropriately.- Specific Job Skills- License/Certifications: Current Driver’s License (no violations in last year), current Oregon Food Handlers Card preferred. Has at least 2 certifications as deemed necessary by the Receiving Manager.
- Technical: Good math skills. Good computer operations skills needed (MS Office, Outlook).
- Physical Capabilities: Able to work indoors/outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Additional: Work as a team member Positions can include 2nd year run driver, 2nd year warehouse, 2nd year data entry, Kat driver 1st year.
- Education/Related Experience- Minimum education required: High School diploma or equivalent. Prefer 2+ years of college
- Minimum time in related position: 1 full season
