Position Overview:

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Business Development Manager to pioneer and execute our market entry and growth strategy across North America [or South America]. This role is critical for driving sales of our suture and blade product lines. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the medical device regulatory landscape and have a proven track record in securing new business, managing distributor networks, and navigating the complex medical device market access process.

Key Responsibilities:

·      
Market Access & Regulatory Strategy:

Develop and execute strategies for product registration, regulatory approval, and market access in the region. Lead the process for obtaining necessary certifications (e.g., FDA, ANVISA, Health Canada, other local certifications).

·      
Market Penetration & Sales Strategy:

Develop and implement a comprehensive business plan to achieve sales targets and expand market share for our suture and blade portfolios.

·      
New Business Generation:

Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities with key accounts, including national and regional distributors, Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs), hospitals, and ambulatory surgical centers (ASCs).

Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers, including surgeons, materials managers, procurement teams, regulatory officials, and distributor partners.

·      
Product Expertise:

Demonstrate deep knowledge of our products, effectively communicating their features, benefits, clinical value, and compliance with relevant standards.

·      
Distributor Management:

Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing network of distributors, providing them with the necessary regulatory documentation, training, and marketing support.

·      
Market Intelligence:

Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and reimbursement policies to identify new opportunities and provide feedback to headquarters.

·      
Sales Process Management:

Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to contract negotiation and closing. Utilize CRM to maintain an accurate pipeline.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

·      Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.

·      A minimum of 
5 years of successful experience

in medical device sales 
or business development, with a strong preference for experience in sutures, surgical blades, or other single-use medical consumables.

·      
Proven experience in managing the regulatory approval and market access process for medical devices in the region

(e.g., familiarity with FDA (USA), ANVISA (Brazil), INVIMA (Colombia), Health Canada, etc.).

·      Established network of contacts within the healthcare sector (hospitals, distributors, etc.) in the region.

·      Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.

·      Self-motivated, entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to work autonomously.

·      Willingness to travel extensively (up to 60-70%) within the region.

·      
For South America Role:

Full professional proficiency in 
English and Spanish

(or Portuguese for Brazil focus) is mandatory.
