ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Events Specialist to spearhead our presence and engagement initiatives within the local market.
This role is crucial in building and nurturing strong relationships with key organizations, particularly shopping malls and local businesses, to drive brand visibility, foster community ties, and support our strategic objectives, including the growth of the SHEIN Marketplace.
The ideal candidate will be an exceptional communicator, a meticulous planner, and a proactive relationship builder with a proven track record in event management and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities: Strategic Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key external organizations, including shopping malls, local businesses, industry associations, and community groups.
Identify and cultivate new partnership opportunities that align with SHEIN's regional goals and brand values.
Act as the primary point of contact and ambassador for SHEIN in regional interactions, ensuring consistent brand messaging and positive representation.
Event Planning & Execution: Design, plan, and execute a diverse portfolio of regional events, activations, and promotional projects, often in collaboration with other partners.
Oversee all logistical aspects of events, including venue selection, vendor coordination, staffing, permits, and materials.
Ensure all events are meticulously organized, on-brand, and deliver an exceptional experience for attendees and partners.
Budget Management & Optimization: Develop, manage, and meticulously track budgets for all events and partnership initiatives, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial guidelines.
Negotiate contracts with vendors and partners to secure favorable terms and maximize ROI.
Provide regular financial reporting and analysis on event expenditures.
Regional Representation & Communication: Represent SHEIN at regional industry events, meetings, and community gatherings, networking effectively to enhance brand perception and uncover new opportunities.
Develop and deliver compelling presentations about SHEIN's initiatives (e.g., Marketplace, new campaigns) to various external stakeholders.
Collaborate with internal marketing and communications teams to ensure consistent messaging and promotion of regional activities.
Project Management: Lead and manage complex projects involving multiple internal and external stakeholders, such as setting up stands, events, or joint marketing campaigns with shopping malls / industry associations.
Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope.
Proactively identify and mitigate risks, and implement solutions to challenges that arise during planning or execution.
Reporting & Analysis: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for all events and partnerships, providing comprehensive post-event reports and insights.
Utilize data to evaluate the success of initiatives and inform future strategy development.
Local Travel: Frequent local travel within the designated region will be required to attend meetings and oversee event execution.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Event Management, Public Relations, or a related field.
5 years of proven experience in event management, community relations, and/or partnership development, preferably within retail, e-commerce, or a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated experience in managing budgets, negotiating contracts, and optimizing resources for events.
Strong track record of building and nurturing successful relationships with diverse organizations and stakeholders.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently, from conception to completion.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to deliver engaging presentations.
Proactive, results-oriented, and highly organized with meticulous attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
Fluency in Portuguese, Mandarin and/or English.
Willingness and ability to travel locally as required.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the e-commerce or fashion retail industry.
Familiarity with the regional market landscape, including key shopping centers and local organizations.
Experience presenting to large groups or external partners.
