Responsibilities and assignments

Our São Paulo campus is home to approximately 250 dedicated professionals — educators, leaders, and support teams — committed to our mission of excellence, innovation, and humanity. We are now seeking an exceptional Human Resources Manager to lead our People & Culture strategy.

As Human Resources Manager , you will serve as the strategic and operational leader for all HR functions on campus. Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, and collaborating closely with the Business Unit, you will ensure that all processes related to people, culture, payroll, compliance, development, and employee experience are seamlessly implemented and continuously improved.

You will directly lead an HR/Administrative Analyst and indirectly support approximately 250 employees across all departments.

This is a bilingual position and requires full fluency in both English and Portuguese .

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the strategic lead for the HR function on campus, balancing day-to-day operational excellence with long-term culture and growth goals;
  • Oversee payroll, benefits, time management, union compliance (e.g., SINPRO-SP) , and all employment-related processes in coordination with external vendors;
  • Drive employee engagement, culture-building, and retention strategies , aligned with Concept's values;
  • Lead performance management cycles, feedback processes, promotions, and career path design in partnership with school leadership;
  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers and team leads on matters such as employee relations, performance improvement, and people decisions;
  • Design and implement internal policies, documentation, and process improvements for all HR-related workflows;
  • Coordinate talent acquisition and onboarding processes with hiring managers, ensuring alignment with campus needs and institutional culture;
  • Ensure accuracy in reporting, KPIs, and dashboards , bringing data-driven insights to leadership;
  • Support the execution of training programs and leadership development initiatives;
  • Be the focal point for all legal, labor, and regulatory HR matters on campus, in collaboration with the Business Unit and legal counsel.
Requirements and qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Psychology, Law, or related fields;
  • Fluency in both English and Portuguese is mandatory (oral and written);
  • At least 5 years of experience in HR generalist roles, ideally with team leadership responsibilities;
  • Proven track record with payroll, benefits, labor law (Brazil), and union negotiations ;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset;
  • Experience working with leadership teams in fast-paced or service-driven organizations;
  • Data fluency: ability to work with spreadsheets, HR platforms, and KPI dashboards;
  • Hands-on attitude with strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Prior experience in educational institutions or bilingual schools ;
  • Familiarity with HR platforms (e.g., TOTVS, Gupyl);
  • Participation in organizational culture, diversity, or change management projects;
  • Experience with climate surveys or certifications like Great Place to Work .
