Overview

AWS is seeking a Startup Operations Lead in the LATAM startup operations team. Responsibilities include continuously evolving forecasting models, analyzing historic results, and making business recommendations to senior management based on those analyses – all in an environment of rapid growth and increasing complexity. This role will include working with the Startup Sales leadership to develop, implement and manage the business processes, systems, reports and strategies that optimize business functions to meet organizational goals and initiatives. The LATAM Startup Operations Lead will act as a trusted advisor to the LATAM Startup Sales leaders, leveraging data and analysis to scale the business. Your insights will drive incubation and growth for some of the newest and most innovating offerings in the AWS portfolio. You will drive improvements to the reporting tools, methods, and processes utilized by the team to increase the availability and granularity of actionable data to their customers. This position also manages the administration and execution of the team’s revenue and non-revenue targets, measurement of goal attainment, and proposing improvements to the Business to increase its effectiveness in driving desired results. This position will be responsible for managing the rhythm of the business activities such as Weekly Business Reviews, Monthly Business Reviews, Quarterly Business Reviews, and other cadenced reporting and metrics.

Responsibilities
  • Roll up your sleeves and work directly with the models and data; be passionate, detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of solving problems.
  • Work with large data sets and the technical tools required to analyze them.
  • Communicate effectively with strong written and verbal skills, and maintain excellent customer relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with leadership across AWS Sales, Solutions Architecture, Business Development, Finance, Marketing, Recruiting, Compensation, and other Operations teams to execute responsibilities.
  • Develop simple, scalable solutions to difficult problems and manage projects with solid execution and cadence.
  • Present complex analytical results in a clear, actionable way to senior leaders.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Experience developing and implementing systems/tools for CRM, variable compensation, revenue reporting, forecasting, Salesforce automation, etc.
  • Experience defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies or equivalent
  • 5+ years of sales operations or equivalent experience
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
  • Experience using Salesforce (or other CRM tool) or BI tools
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience presenting to senior leadership
