We are seeking an accomplished Labor Lawyer to spearhead labor law compliance and risk management within our legal department. This role is pivotal in ensuring adherence to Brazilian labor laws, mitigating labor-related risks, and providing proactive legal counsel to support business growth.
The ideal candidate will possess in-depth expertise in labor law, strong business acumen, and the ability to excel in a dynamic, multinational environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide expert legal advice on Brazilian labor and employment law, regulations, and practices.
- Support HR and business leaders in managing complex labor issues, including business contract negotiations, workforce strategy, policies, procedures, terminations, and union matters.
- Draft and review employment-related agreements and policies.
- Manage litigation portfolio, external counsel, and legal budgets related to labor matters.
- Ensure timely reporting and communication of updates, results, and relevant information to internal stakeholders regarding significant developments in high-volume, high-impact, or financially relevant labor litigation cases.
- Monitor changes in labor legislation and assess their impact on the business, developing strategic actions.
- Develop and deliver training sessions on labor law compliance and best practices.
- Collaborate with global legal and compliance teams to ensure alignment with corporate policies and standards.
