We are seeking an experienced Employment Law Specialist to join our legal team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice on employment law issues, including hiring practices, employment contracts, terminations, benefits, workplace policies, and employee relations.
  • Ensure the organization complies with local, regional, and international employment laws and regulations.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate employment agreements, consultancy contracts, and other related legal documents.
  • Manage employment disputes and litigation, coordinating with external counsel as needed.
  • Develop and update internal policies and procedures to reflect current legal requirements and best practices.
  • Provide training and guidance to HR and management teams on employment law matters and compliance.
  • Monitor changes in employment legislation and advise on potential impacts to the organization.
  • Handle cross-border employment matters, including expatriate arrangements and global mobility programs.
  • Advise on classification of workers (e.g., employees vs. independent contractors), especially in the gig economy context.
Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of employment law within Brazil and the LATAM region, preferably, but not necessarily, experience dealing with international labor regulations.

  • Strong knowledge of employment law in Brazil and LATAM; experience with international labor regulations.
  • Ability to advise on a broad range of employment matters and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating employment agreements, consultancy contracts, and related documents.
  • Experience managing employment disputes and coordinating with external counsel.
  • Ability to develop and update internal policies and provide training on employment law and compliance.
  • Experience monitoring changes in employment legislation and assessing impact to the business.
  • Experience handling cross-border employment matters, expatriate arrangements, and global mobility programs.
  • Ability to advise on worker classifications (employees vs. independent contractors), especially in the gig economy.
