About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong technical background and excellent problem-solving skills. As an Information Systems Support Specialist at Expeditors, you will be responsible for ensuring the stable operation of our business by maintaining our IS Infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Executing regular IS basic tasks to ensure system stability and performance.
  • Providing branch/user support and troubleshooting to resolve technical issues.
  • Maintaining and administering server rooms, including backups and data recovery.
  • Creating a community that promotes the sharing of best ideas and practices, and driving global consistency.
  • Developing and implementing automation and innovation initiatives, including PowerShell scripting.
  • Managing procurement, asset management, and inventory processes.
  • Maintaining audio/visual equipment and troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Administering telecom systems and maintaining network infrastructure.
  • Managing Expeditors' proprietary applications and third-party systems.
  • Ensuring capacity utilization and planning, and providing helpdesk support.
  • Providing training and development opportunities for team members.
  • Developing and implementing disaster recovery and high availability strategies.
  • Ensuring cybersecurity and network security.
  • Providing technical support for Windows PC, printers, and copiers.
  • Administering Windows Server and Linux Server environments.
  • Providing remote administration and mobile device support.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • IT certifications such as CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft, VMware, and Linux are a plus.
  • Preferred IT helpdesk background.
