About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Science Liaison II to join our team at Bayer. As a key member of our pharmaceutical team, you will play a critical role in establishing and maintaining strategic relationships with key thought leaders in the medical community.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Scientific Expertise: Provide scientific expertise and education to thought leaders in oncology and gastrointestinal therapies, staying up-to-date on the latest research and developments in the field.
  2. Strategic Relationship Building: Establish and maintain long-term relationships with key thought leaders, identifying and addressing their needs and interests.
  3. Congress and Convention Participation: Participate in and network at conferences and conventions, gathering competitive intelligence and establishing new contacts.
  4. Scientific Education and Advisory Boards: Plan and organize scientific training and education events, as well as advisory boards, to engage thought leaders and advance our medical strategy.
  5. Reporting and Tracking: Submit timely reports of field interactions and events, tracking activities against agreed-upon objectives and country medical activity plans.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in natural sciences, pharmacology, or medicine; advanced degree in a science-related field preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry as an MSL, preferably in oncology, with experience in gastrointestinal oncology a competitive advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of therapeutic area products, understanding of clinical trial design and rationale, and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent presentation and written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build productive work relationships both internally and externally.
  • Ability to work independently, with a demonstrated self-starter mentality, and basic problem-solving skills.
  • Strong statistical skills and ability to extract insights from data, with academic/scientific writing experience a plus.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and Portuguese (written and spoken), with Spanish a nice-to-have skill.
