Cloud Computing Leadership Opportunity

As a seasoned engineering manager, you will lead a globally distributed team of engineers who develop and maintain cloud-init, the standard for customizing cloud instances.

With your expertise, you will drive innovation in cloud computing, working closely with product management to define the vision and strategy for Ubuntu and your team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute strategies to build and lead a high-performing team of engineers.
  • Mentor and coach engineers to enhance their skills and contribute to the growth of the organization.
  • Collaborate with product management to shape the direction of Ubuntu and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Effectively communicate with stakeholders, including senior management, other engineering teams, and external partners.
Requirements:
  • Proven track record of developing and growing people, with a strong focus on talent development.
  • Extensive knowledge of software development principles and practices.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in leading, managing, coaching, and mentoring software developers.
  • Strong emphasis on delivering high-quality results and meeting deadlines.
