As Data Science Director, you will oversee the development of predictive models, machine learning solutions, and statistical analysis to optimize sales performance and drive commercial strategy decisions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Finance, to identify analytical requirements and deliver integrated data solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing statistical models, machine learning algorithms, and predictive analytics solutions for sales forecasting, pipeline optimization, and customer behavior analysis.
  • Building automated data pipelines and reporting systems using Python, R, SQL, and business intelligence platforms.
  • Leading data science projects, including customer segmentation, pricing analytics, and churn prediction, to support commercial strategy decisions.
  • Managing and ensuring quality of enterprise sales data across CRM systems and analytics platforms, implementing data governance best practices.
  • Analyzing and predicting sales performance metrics and market trends, delivering actionable insights and recommendations to sales leadership and management teams.
  • Developing custom analytical frameworks and business intelligence tools that enhance commercial decision-making and competitive positioning.
  • Mentoring and guiding analytics team members, fostering technical skills development in statistical analysis and business intelligence tools.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or related quantitative field.
  • Over 10 years of experience in data science, business analytics, or commercial analysis roles with increasing responsibilities.
  • Proven experience leading analytical projects with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong proficiency in statistical programming (Python, R, SQL) and machine learning techniques for business applications.
  • Hands-on experience with business intelligence platforms (Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik, Databricks) and data visualization best practices.
  • Solid understanding of commercial operations, sales processes, and revenue optimization principles.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to present technical findings to business stakeholders and management.
  • Experience with data pipeline development, ETL processes, and database management systems.
