Operations Manager Job Description

About the Role:

This is a challenging and rewarding role for a skilled logistics professional who wants to take their career to the next level.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of operations staff, ensuring that all logistics activities are carried out efficiently and effectively. They will also be responsible for managing warehouse and transportation systems, developing processes and implementing new technologies.

In addition, they will negotiate with partner companies and clients to leverage new business opportunities, qualify and certify partners according to internal rules, and analyze qualitative and quantitative operational results to achieve excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage people and teams to achieve operational excellence
  • Oversee the management of warehouse and transportation systems (WMS, TMS)
  • Develop and implement processes (SOP, workflows, narratives)
  • Negotiate with partner companies and clients to leverage new business opportunities
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative operational results to achieve excellence

Requirements:

  • Academic background in Administration, Logistics or Production Engineering
  • Advanced/fluency in English
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in Logistics Operations with a focus on Transportation and reverse logistics
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in People Management
