Resource Management Expert Role

This position involves high-level strategic planning and management of company resources, with a focus on optimizing operational capacity, talent strategy, and financial objectives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process improvement and agile project management. They will be responsible for forecasting future staffing requirements, conducting comprehensive workforce audits, advising senior leadership on key strategic decisions, and identifying future skills gaps.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Forecasting: Analyze sales pipeline, committed projects, and strategic business initiatives to proactively forecast future staffing and skill requirements.
  • Auditing: Conduct comprehensive audits of current workforce to document skill sets and identify areas of under- or over-utilization.
  • Advisory Role: Advise senior leadership on key strategic decisions, including trade-offs between hiring full-time employees versus engaging contractors to fill a skills gap.
  • Skills Gap Identification: Identify future skills gaps by comparing forecasted demand with current capacity, informing strategic hiring, training, and contractor engagement decisions.
  • Scenario Modeling: Model 'what-if' scenarios, assessing the resource impact of major business events like a new contract win or changes in personnel.
  • Staff Allocation: Serve as the central point of contact for all resource requests, matching staff to projects based on skills, availability, project priority, and budget, optimizing staffing across the entire portfolio.
  • Conflict Resolution: Act as a neutral broker to identify, mediate, and resolve resource conflicts that arise when multiple projects compete for the same talent.
  • PSA Maintenance: Maintain our Professional Services Automation (PSA) platform as the 'single source of truth' for all resource data.
  • KPI Tracking: Track, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as billable utilization, bench time, and forecast accuracy.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain trusted and strong relationships with Account Managers, Product Managers, Functional Leaders, People Operations, and Finance, facilitating a collaborative approach to staffing and planning.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in resource management, operations, or related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
