Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Financial Operations Lead to spearhead all financial operations of our payment institution in Brazil. As a key member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for driving financial control, regulatory compliance, treasury, tax, and reporting.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead finance, accounting, and regulatory reporting for the Brazilian entity.
  • Manage treasury, fund settlements, FX (including crypto), and financial operations.
  • Evaluate and ensure full compliance with local tax, accounting (COSIF), and regulatory requirements.
  • Negotiate and maintain relationships with auditors, regulators, banks, acquirers, and FX providers.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls, financial policies, and governance frameworks.
  • Oversee outsourced finance and accounting providers; manage SLAs and track deliverables.
  • Monitor liquidity management and cash flow, collaborating closely with the treasury team.
  • Provide finance input for merchant onboarding, process automation, and system improvements.
  • Deliver monthly management reports, financial statements, and analyses to support decision-making.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have hands-on experience with card acquirers, sub-acquirers, or payment operations. A strong network with local banks, acquirers, FX desks, and crypto providers is also essential.

  • Hands-on experience with SWIFT, FX operations, and crypto transactions.
  • Detailed understanding of COSIF accounting and Brazilian financial regulations.
  • Proven track record in managing audits and regulatory reporting.
  • Able to lead and execute—this is not a back-office role.
  • Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial controls.
