About the Role
The Commercial Director provides strategic support to Selina's operating hotels, driving performance and maximizing resources through market commercial strategies and marketing plans. This role leads the planning and development of market-level initiatives, building a high-performing culture within the team, and fostering relationships with key stakeholders and partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute market commercial strategies and marketing plans to drive hotel performance and revenue growth.
- Lead the planning and development of market-level initiatives, including sales, marketing, and revenue management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government entities, commercial partners, and hotel teams.
- Work closely with the VP of Commercial, Revenue Leads, and General Managers to drive business performance reviews and develop performance-driving country commercial strategies and tactics.
- Collaborate with Digital Marketing & Brand to create and execute a marketing plan for the country, including partnerships and PR.
- Support the Distribution agenda in the market, driving rate parity, OTA content scores, and effective communication of functional updates for the country.
- Ensure hotels have champions assigned for all Selina programs and tools, promoting cross-selling regionally and internationally.
- Coordinate and share feedback within assigned hotels on market intelligence and competitor's sales/promotion efforts.
Requirements
- Degree in Sales, Hospitality, or Business Administration.
- English proficiency and local language.
- Proven track record in performance driving across multiple units and ideally multiple markets, and/or strong commercial, brand, and marketing experience.
- Technical skills and knowledge.
- Strong stakeholder management with ability to influence peers and management.
- Strong team/culture leadership ability and team development and succession planning.
- Core commercial skills – sales, marketing, PR, channels, and revenue management.
