Our organization is seeking a dedicated professional to fill the role of Workplace Health Specialist. This position will involve coordinating and implementing programs aimed at promoting workplace safety and health, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and fostering a positive work environment.

About the Role

This full-time position will be based in an Amazon fulfillment center and will serve as a designated representative for the site. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting daily, weekly, and monthly audits to identify compliance issues, risks, and opportunities for improvement. They will also facilitate incident investigation processes, maintain required paperwork, and perform observations and audits.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Compliance and Risk Management:
  • Identify and inform management of compliance issues, risks, and improvement opportunities through regular audits.
  • Facilitate incident investigation process.
  • Maintain required paperwork to comply with regulations.
Audit and Observation:
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly audits.
  • Conduct observations and provide feedback to associates.
Training and Development:
  • Train and assist others to complete their responsibilities.
  • Provide specific training as required by management.
Process Improvement:
  • Participate in process improvement activities.
  • Manage actions to completion.
Reporting and Metrics:
  • Maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly metrics.
  • Report to onsite management teams and corporate reporting systems.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree;
  • Experience with workplace health and safety (WHS);
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910;
  • Experience using Microsoft Word in a professional capacity;
  • Experience maintaining confidentiality in matters involving security or personnel issues in the workplace.
Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in emergency response and worker's compensation case management is desirable.
