Manufacturing Engineer Position

The Hardware team at Tractian is responsible for designing and improving our IoT devices, dealing with every step of the development process, ranging from PCB design, firmware programming, case design, validations and certifications, always aiming to build trustworthy products that can be produced at a mass scale.

Responsibilities
  • Develop new suppliers and validate new technologies to enhance product quality and performance.
  • Participate in the design review process to provide insights on potential quality concerns and ensure design for manufacturability and assembly (DFM and DFA).
  • Collaborate with the design and quality teams to define quality standards, specifications, and inspection criteria for mechanical components and assemblies.
  • Conduct regular audits of manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Participate in the NPI of new sensors and technologies.
  • Work closely with the production team to support process validation and ensure consistency in manufacturing processes.
  • Enable new features to our products by developing new manufacturing processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with engineering projects and manufacturing techniques.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with inspection techniques, metrology, GD&T, and non-destructive testing methods.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to lead root cause analysis investigations.
  • Reading and Writing English proficiency.
