IDB Invest is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Southern Cone region as Managing Director. This is a unique opportunity to drive business growth and impact in the region, leveraging your expertise in banking and regional development.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successful business development, deep knowledge of the countries in the region, and strong relationships with private sector companies. As Managing Director, you will be responsible for achieving the region's business and impact targets, working closely with our Country Representatives and Delivery Units.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with governments and private sector clients
- Provide strategic guidance and oversight to Country Representatives
- Oversee business performance from a regional perspective
- Shape country strategies from a private sector perspective
- Identify and promote synergies with IDB and IDB Lab
- Manage operational, human, capital, and budgetary resources
Requirements:
- At least 10 years of relevant experience as a banker with a proven business track record
- Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Law, Engineering, or another relevant field
- Proficiency in English and one of the other Bank's official languages (Spanish, French, or Portuguese)
