We are seeking an experienced Regional Director to lead our expansion into the Latin American market. Reporting directly to the General Manager for International Markets, this role will be responsible for establishing a strong market presence, achieving aggressive growth targets, and managing the complete P&L for the region.
This is a key role requiring a hands-on, entrepreneurial leader who can navigate a rapidly growing industry and build a solid foundation for our business in LATAM.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute the LATAM market strategy, identifying business opportunities and building relationships with key clients and stakeholders in the renewable energy sector.
- Take full ownership of the LATAM region's P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, and tracking financial performance to meet profitability targets.
- Build and lead a high-performing regional team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
- Cultivate strategic relationships with industry stakeholders, including local government entities and potential partners, to drive market growth and brand awareness in the LATAM region.
- Oversee all aspects of daily operations, including sales, project management, customer support, and compliance, ensuring alignment with global company standards and local market requirements.
- Ensure all business practices comply with LATAM regulations, especially in renewable energy policies, labor laws, and industry standards.
- Provide regular updates on performance, challenges, and opportunities to the General Manager for International Markets; collaborate with global teams to align strategies and share best practices.
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in regional or general management within the renewable energy sector, preferably in solar energy, tracking, or racking systems.
- Demonstrated success in launching and scaling regional operations, achieving revenue targets, and managing P&L in a high-growth environment.
- A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate independently and take ownership of the LATAM market expansion.
- In-depth understanding of the renewable energy landscape in LATAM, including market trends, key industry players, and regulatory requirements.
- Fluency in both Spanish and English, with Portuguese being a strong plus.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate in a new and growing market.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective business strategies, assess market trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, capable of representing the company at high-level industry events and meetings.
