About the Job:

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Operations Manager to oversee daily tasking requirements, workflow, and operations procedures to ensure efficiency and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Management: Manage daily tasking requirements, workflow, and operations procedures to ensure efficiency and safety.
  • Coaching and Development: Train, coach, and develop logistics professionals in ERP systems, customer service, inventory management, and other logistics functions.
  • Results Driven: Track cargo movements, create priority cargo reports, prepare and review resupply requests, and oversee the safety of personnel during port call operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • ERP Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with enterprise resource planning systems, including IBM Maximo.
  • Operations Systems Knowledge: Working knowledge of materials movement, purchasing, inventory, shipping industry, and hazardous materials.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, organization, interpersonal, and customer service skills, as well as people management and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Critical Thinking: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills.
  • Communication Skills: Strong business communication and conflict management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Industry Experience: Familiarity with commodities in specific areas, such as medical or construction.
  • Remote Site Logistics: Experience with remote site logistics and polar logistics operations.
  • Materials Movement: Knowledge of materials movement, purchasing, inventory, shipping industry, and hazardous materials.
