**Why Join Us**:
Creation is the core of TikTok's purpose. Our platform is built to help imaginations thrive. This is doubly true of the teams that make TikTok possible. Together, we inspire creativity and bring joy - a mission we all believe in and aim towards achieving every day. To us, every challenge, no matter how difficult, is an opportunity; to learn, to innovate, and to grow as one team. Status quo? Never. Courage? Always. We're looking for an Outreach and Partnerships Manager to advance our work in Brazil, establishing strategic relationships with key external stakeholders including academics, NGOs, and thought leaders.
As an Outreach & Partnerships Manager you are a primary contact between Global Trust & Safety and external stakeholders to gather feedback and test ideas that will enhance our global policies and products. In this role, you will work closely with the TikTok T&S Global Policy and Product teams, as well as cross-functional partners in Public Policy, Communications, Legal, and Ops to ensure that TikTok cultivates policies that promote creativity and joy while keeping our community safe. The role will require you to build on your deep experience with Brazilian stakeholders, contemporary global media (e.g., video, literature, fine arts), and expression (e.g., journalism, communications, linguistics) to engage with external experts.
It is possible that this role will be exposed to harmful content as part of the core role/as part of project/ in response to escalation requests/by chance. This may occur in the form of images, video, and text related to every-day life, but it can also include (but is not limited to) bullying; hate speech; child safety; depictions of harm to self and others, and harm to animals.

**Responsibilities**:

- Research, identify, and collaborate with external voices and leverage their expertise and resources to develop corresponding safety programs to improve the Trust & Safety approach to key issue areas;
- Work with your Global Outreach and Partnerships colleagues to ensure that the development of our internal policies and features are informed by respected and diverse external voices;
- Communicate clearly and thoughtfully with a diverse T&S team located around the world;
- Build and develop relationships with all colleagues and key cross-functional partners for increased efficiency and effective responsiveness into existing projects, and help to define new operational strategies for the implementation of external feedback;
- Travel frequently to manage stakeholders and projects.

**Qualifications**:
**Minimum Qualifications**:

- 5 years experience in project management or strategic outreach, engagement or communication experience;
- Experience and knowledge of the tech and platform safety focused NGO and academic expert community in Brazil;
- Effective communication and diplomacy skills for working collaboratively with cross-functional teams including product, operations, legal, and policy;
- Strong cross cultural or global communication background for technical and non-technical audiences and the ability to synthesize complex concepts in easy to understand ways;
- Availability to frequent travels to manage stakeholders and projects;
- Working proficiency in both Portuguese and English.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Passion and study of issues related to marginalized voices including gender, race, religion, or political identity;
- Work experience in, or academic study of, advocacy or NGO organizations, start-ups/entrepreneurship and/or tech companies.
