We are seeking an ambitious and results-driven Business Development Manager specialized in engineering services to join our team in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This role is essential for expanding our footprint in the engineering sector, driving new client acquisition, and strengthening strategic partnerships across Brazil's key industries such as oil & gas, infrastructure, energy, manufacturing, and construction.You will focus on selling a range of engineering solutions including design, consulting, project management, EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction), technical staffing, and specialized engineering services. If you have a strong network in Brazil's engineering ecosystem and a proven ability to win complex, high-value contracts, this is your opportunity to play a pivotal role in our growth in one of Latin America's most dynamic markets.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify and develop new business opportunities in the engineering services sector across Brazil, with a primary focus on Rio de Janeiro and surrounding regions.Prospect and qualify leads through targeted outreach, industry events, referrals, and digital channels (LinkedIn, sector-specific networks).Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers in oil & gas companies, infrastructure developers, industrial manufacturers, energy firms, and government-related entities.Develop tailored proposals and solutions that address clients' engineering challenges.Lead the full sales cycle: from initial contact, needs assessment, and technical presentations to contract negotiation and deal closure.Collaborate with engineering, delivery, and technical teams to ensure proposals are competitive and aligned with client requirements.Track market trends, competitor activity, regulatory changes, and upcoming projects (e.g., via ANP, IBAMA, public tenders) to inform strategy.Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets for engineering services contracts.Represent the company at industry events, trade shows (e.g., Rio Oil & Gas, OTC Brazil), and professional associations in Rio and São Paulo.Qualifications and SkillsBachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Petroleum, or related) or Business Administration. MBA or postgraduate studies are a plus.5+ years of experience in B2B business development or sales within the engineering services sector (consulting, design, EPC, technical outsourcing, etc.).Proven track record of winning and closing high-value engineering contracts (ideally >R$1M).Strong existing network in Brazil's engineering market, particularly in Rio de Janeiro (oil & gas, energy, infrastructure sectors highly desirable).Fluency in Portuguese and English (Spanish is a bonus). Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.Familiarity with public and private tender processes in BrazilProficiency in CRM toolsAbility to understand technical engineering requirements and translate them into commercial value propositions.Self-starter with strong hunter mentality, capable of working independently in a target-driven environment.
