Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Account Manager to join our team at Merck KGaA Darmstadt Germany. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for delivering sales and promoting business growth in the cosmetic market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships with key accounts in the cosmetic industry.
  • Operate as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to customers, assist with high severity requests or issue escalations as needed.
  • Negotiate account management contracts and agreements to maximize profit.
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
  • Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to exceed sales targets.
  • Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. annual forecasts), prepare reports on account status.

Requirements

  • Complete degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biology, Biomedicine, Administration, or Marketing and Advertising.
  • Experience in the role, serving clients from the cosmetic industry or distributors.
  • Experience with a portfolio of chemical inputs such as pigments, sunscreens, etc.
  • Fluent in English, Spanish is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
