Job Overview

Summary: We are seeking a skilled IT Applications Analyst to join our team at Fugro. As a key member of our technical support team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and maintenance for our enterprise applications, including troubleshooting, testing, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve application issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for application resolution processes and knowledge articles.
  • Deliver training and support to end-users on software application usage, ensuring effective adoption and utilization.
  • Identify, install, test, and maintain software needs for end-user computers and vessels applications.
  • Perform technical reviews, acceptance testing, and implementation of software and firmware upgrades.
  • Manage the supported software solutions to ensure data and project access are successful.
  • Monitor system health, querying data from software systems to identify and mitigate issues.
  • Manage system integrations, facilitating data exchange with the ERP system and other related systems.
  • Triage problems and issues associated with application integrations and data exchange.
  • Participate in the Change Management Process for software system maintenance and security.
  • Design customizations and data analytics queries, dashboards, displays, and reports for data analytics projects.

Requirements:

Experience:

  • General knowledge and understanding of IT acumen associated with best practice ITIL standards, including User Technical Support and Change Control.
  • Demonstrated skills utilizing technology platforms, database utilities, and reporting tools, including SQL and T-SQL, experience working on Data warehouse, ETL, and integrations, as well as data modeling workflows.
  • General knowledge of Cloud database administration (Azure and AWS).
  • General knowledge of PowerBI, Python, and Geoscience data acquisition workflows is a plus.
  • Experience as an Application Support Analyst or similar position is preferred.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, data processing, or a related technical field. Alternatively, work experience and/or a combination of education and work experience will be accepted.
