We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our deal team in Brazil, driving strategic growth and financial performance.
Job Description
The Director, Deal Team will play a critical role in developing deal strategy, structuring, review, approval, and performance tracking processes for Visa in Brazil and Latin America. This individual will collaborate with stakeholders across the business to identify opportunities with current and new clients that achieve strategic and financial goals while meeting business and global process and governance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deal Strategy and Governance: Lead the Brazil Deal function and governance process, ensuring it meets business needs, complies with internal governance, aligns to local and regional prioritization, and facilitates business outcomes.
- Leadership Development: Support leadership of the LAC Deal Team, mentoring current team members, optimizing resource allocation, facilitating career development, and promoting knowledge sharing within the team and throughout the organization.
- Analysis and Risk Management: Provide high-quality and thoughtful analysis of deal structures, managing and contributing to best practices, and collaborating with business teams to achieve business outcomes while identifying and mitigating risks.
- Financial Proposals: Co-develop financial proposals with sales teams, conducting due diligence financial projections, providing feedback to optimize risk-adjusted returns, and fully understanding and contributing to commercial proposals.
- Risk Evaluation and Mitigation: Evaluate and mitigate risks associated with deals and deal portfolios.
- Partnerships and Collaboration: Partner with sales and executive decision-makers in achieving key business and finance priorities through deals and deal portfolio management.
- Strategic Alignment: Develop and promote deal strategy that aligns to short- and long-term strategic objectives for Visa in Latin America.
- Client Contracts: Collaborate with other internal stakeholders to ensure client contracts are produced and executed efficiently, meeting internal governance and compliance requirements.
- Regional Representation: Represent LAC regional requirements and point-of-view in global decision-making.
- Profitability Projects: Lead and/or participate in profitability projects that impact current and future business models and/or pricing structure.
Requirements:
- 10 years of work experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, engineering, accounting, mathematics, economics, or a related quantitative field (MBA a plus).
- Excellent business acumen, with multi-functional business experience a plus.
- Demonstrated program leadership capabilities to drive key financial processes.
- Outstanding modeling, analytical, and quantitative skills, able to identify and model challenging business problems with well-structured analyses and quantifiable financial impact.
- Solution-oriented, with the ability to strike balance between compliance/governance requirements and achieving business outcomes.
- Significant experience with business contracts, including international business contracts.
- Ability to facilitate lively discussion, quickly testing findings and assertions against a financial body of knowledge.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
