We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Lead to join our team at LHR Americas. As a key member of our Development Department, you will be responsible for directing activities related to sourcing, screening, analyzing, planning, and developing business ventures or portfolios of ventures.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the business development process through deal closure, including validation against proposal progress through stage gates, prioritizing business proposals against investment criteria, and offering commercial and technical solutions to make up the company's business offering.
- Work with investors to establish high-level strategic, financial, and operational goals and milestones for new ventures.
- Review investor proposals and approve contract payments and variations within authority limits. Act as a primary contact for contractors, consultants, and vendors.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure deal alignment and progression.
- Coordinate with internal entities, external entities, and advisors/consultants to promote business opportunities.
- Lead business portfolios and manage development of commercial agreements, providing analysis in reviewing legal documents.
- Manage negotiation strategy development and execution.
- Prepare and present corporate committees and executive briefs.
- Provide administrative direction to Business Development staff, including job performance appraisals and relevant human resources development roles.
- Represent the company, its affiliates, and/or the Kingdom in professional societies, committees, and conferences.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or equivalent.
- 12 years of experience.
- CFA, CMA, PMP, or similar certifications.
- Industry expertise and knowledge of business transaction and venturing activities.
- Expertise in financial analysis of companies and transaction valuation.
- Focused knowledge and experience in carve-out divestment, financial restructuring, or initial public offering (IPO).
- Experience in dealing with local or industry-specific best practices and regulatory and governmental mandates.
- Monthly Base Salary - aligned with company employees with similar skills.
- Monthly Overbase - 25% of monthly base salary.
- Benefits Supplement - 20% of monthly base salary, increasing to 25% after 3 years, 30% after 6 years, and 35% after 12 years.
- Severance Package - 2 weeks' pay for each year of service, increasing to 4 weeks' pay after 6 years.
- Employment Tax - exemption from 'home country' income taxes, with company reporting income to 'home country' governments.
- Employee Share Purchase Plan (ESPP) - maximum purchase equal to 10% monthly base pay, with a 20% share discount.
- Incentive Plan - annual, based on performance, approximately 1.8x monthly base salary.
- Travel Allowance - annual, approximately $8,200 per household member 11+ years old, and $6,000 per household member under 11 years old.
- Vacation & Paid Holidays - 38 vacation days, 4 travel days, and 11-13 paid holidays.
- Medical/Dental Plan - complimentary in-Kingdom Johns Hopkins medical care and facilities for employee and eligible family members.
- Educational Assistance Plan (EAP) - out-of-Kingdom assistance, 90% of expenses, with a maximum per child, and in-Kingdom assistance, 2x monthly base salary.
- Settling in Allowance - one-time payment, 100% of monthly base salary for family status, and 60% for single/bachelor status.
