About the Role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Account Manager to join our Vendor Success Program team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing close management relationships with key distributors in the Books category, driving cost negotiation, results monitoring, process improvement, and ensuring operational performance.

This role will require you to work closely with multiple stakeholders and teams across the Amazon organization, including business leaders, product managers, and technical teams. You will be responsible for monitoring results and strategy for the Books category, analyzing business data, and acting as a facilitator between MVR and business to ensure category performance.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop strategic mid-sized vendors with close management to accelerate their long-term growth in Retail, ensuring selection growth and availability for Amazon customers in a sustainable and scalable way.
  2. Manage vendors from a specific Product Family, being responsible for these business P&L.
  3. Create, develop, and execute a growth acceleration plan customized for each vendor.
  4. Responsible for the main operational and financial results of the vendor, developing plans that drive revenue and performance improvement margin.
  5. Align with key stakeholders on the business strategy.
  6. Analyze and track key KPIs to ensure vendor performance.
  7. Suggest process improvements and assist internal partners to drive them to completion.
A Day in the Life
  1. Connect with partner business teams, peers, and stakeholders to understand and align business opportunities.
  2. Educate vendors about Amazon tools, processes, and resources.
  3. Create and negotiate business agreements.
  4. Analyze, create, and manage vendor deals and events performances.
  5. Identify opportunities to improve tools and systems for Retail.
  6. Identify opportunities to simplify or automate tasks, executing opportunities involving basic software applications (e.g. Excel).
Minimum Requirements
  1. 2+ years of sales or account management experience.
  2. 2+ years of digital advertising and client-facing roles experience.
  3. Experience with Excel.
  4. Experience analyzing data and best practices to assess performance drivers.
  5. Experience analyzing key open issues and resolution metrics for each of the managed accounts.
  6. Experience in relationship management within technology, start-ups, or SaaS Platforms.
