About the Role:This role focuses on protecting and advancing the firm's reputation by collaborating with global media outlets. You will work closely with senior directors, marketing leaders, and Fitch Ratings analytical groups to develop proactive communications strategies that drive visibility and build relationships with journalists.
Your Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement comprehensive communications strategies to enhance the company's reputation and visibility
- Provide expert media relations counsel to senior management, including responding to media inquiries and proactively engaging with the press
- Identify and capitalize on media opportunities, including editorial calendars, topical themes, and emerging trends in Latin America
- Write and distribute news releases, media pitches, and other communications collateral to promote Fitch Group's research and commentary
- Collaborate with broadcast, print, online, and specialist reporters to ensure optimal positioning of Fitch research and commentary
- 8-15 years' experience in media relations/corporate communications or journalism, preferably in capital markets, financial, or professional services
- Proven track record of regular dealings with broadcast and print journalists
- Strong verbal, writing, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to package complex market-sensitive messages for different audiences
- Fluency in English, Spanish, and Portuguese required
