Job Summary

Boeing Brazil is seeking a skilled Structural Analysis Engineer to join our team in São José dos Campos. As a key member of our BR&T Structures team, you will be responsible for developing and providing support for the primary and secondary structures of X-66 airplanes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, integrate, and document structural modifications on system and sub-system levels.
  • Guide product design and verify structural integrity of parts and components using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations, and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Participate in customers' and stakeholders' communication to drive solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
  • Define affected structural requirements, create certification reports (analysis or tests) to substantiate stress analysis results, and disclose and approve them with customers and regulatory agencies.

Requirements:

  • Must have existing rights to work in Brazil.
  • Must have a degree in Engineering.
  • Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA).
  • Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English Language.
  • Experience with Structures Engineering.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in structural analysis methods and tools (Hand-Calculation and Finite Element Analysis Method).
  • Experience with design and analysis of metallic and/or composite materials.
  • Direct experience working with compliance demonstration for regulatory requirements (ANAC/FAA).
  • Occasional travel may be required in support of the program and customer, both domestically and internationally.
  • Experience using excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with leaders and colleagues in an engineering environment.
  • Experience with mechanical systems (propulsion).

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Brazil. Candidates must have current legal authorization to live and work in Brazil. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
