At Microsoft, we're committed to empowering every person and organization on the planet to achieve more. As an Account Manager - Government Sector, you'll play a key role in driving this mission forward.
This role involves developing and overseeing the execution of account plans for multiple government accounts, ensuring engagements yield high volume sales for both Microsoft and the customer. You'll understand customer drivers of digital transformation and leverage this understanding to engage internal teams to accelerate the customer's digital transformation and strategy.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop and oversee the execution of account plans utilizing common sales and delivery methodology for the Microsoft sales organization for multiple accounts to ensure Microsoft revenue targets and customer business needs are met.
- Drive accountability to deliver on account plans among the extended virtual teams and internal industry experts.
- Lead extended team and embrace partners to scale business by understanding partner goals and creating an interest in mutual business growth.
- Ensure achievement of revenue and consumption targets and drive integrated joint account governance through customer plan on regular frequency.
- Identify initial stakeholders, customer needs, and customer priorities.
- Propose initial Solutions/Sales Plays.
**Sales Excellence:**
- Seek customer feedback (both formal and informal) of assigned accounts to identify and understand the drivers of satisfaction and/or dissatisfaction.
- Leverage internal resources to support customer needs.
- Orchestrate others (e.g., Customer Success Account Management (CSAM)) to anticipate issues/risks on customer satisfaction, determine the root cause of problems, remove blockers, and establish recovery action plans as need to improve customers' overall experience.
- Proactively establish agreement on success measures and manage execution on success measures to prevent need for recovery plans.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
