Corporate Development Specialist

We are seeking a top-performing business development professional to join our ranks in the corporate development team.

This individual will be responsible for sourcing, qualifying, nurturing, and managing a pipeline of strategic partnership and acquisition opportunities.

The ideal candidate will balance salesmanship and drive for business development with the financial acumen to coordinate and facilitate critical aspects of the transaction lifecycle in a senior-facing role.

Responsibilities include:

  • Identifying, engaging, and qualifying potential strategic partners and M&A company targets and opportunities aligning with our group's strategic and financial criteria.
  • Establishing, building, and maintaining successful relationships with CEOs, business owners, senior executives, brokers, PE & VC funds, and other stakeholders through meaningful dialogue as well as nurturing attractive partnership and M&A opportunities to help progress targets through the deal sourcing pipeline.
  • Adding new prospects to our proprietary database of industry contacts.
  • Tracking activities and maintaining relevant information in CRM.
  • Reviewing company materials on an opportunity basis.
  • Conducting assessments of target industry and competitive landscape, identifying key industry trends, emerging players, and associated opportunities for growth.

Qualified candidates will possess 2+ years of relevant experience in corporate development, M&A sourcing, SaaS business development, enterprise sales, investor relations, or entrepreneurship/start-up.

Additionally, exceptional business sense, a strong inherent drive to work autonomously, and excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are highly valued.

We are looking for self-starters who can take ownership and initiative to drive projects to completion, with a high degree of intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in deal sourcing and cold outreach is essential, along with adaptability and flexibility in responding to changing work priorities, pressure, and demands.

A solid understanding of company financial information and analysis of historical performance is also required.
