The Role

We are seeking a Senior Program Development Manager to join our team in São Paulo, Brazil. As a key member of our organization, you will support Regional Teams in Latin America and North America in developing and implementing Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) methods, in close alignment with our values and practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Regional Teams in co-designing learning questions, providing methodological support, ensuring strategic alignment to regional plans, and synthesizing insights derived from regional seeding and innovation.
  • Contribute to the development of MEL skills for regional staff, facilitating cross-regional learnings and knowledge exchange, and sharing best practices to contribute to regional goals.
  • Support the translation of strategic decisions, learnings, and results into various forms, serving as resources for decision-making.

Requirements

  • Master's degree
  • Excellent command of English and Portuguese languages is mandatory; Spanish is a plus.
  • Previous experience or demonstrated interest in the root causes of poverty and injustice, as well as factors leading to positive social change for the most disadvantaged.
  • 3-5 years of proven experience in all aspects of the SMELL cycle, including developing, evaluating, and monitoring frameworks, indicator development, design and implementation of evaluation methods, and different learning approaches.
  • Analytical and statistical skills, comfort with both qualitative and quantitative metrics.
  • Facilitation skills and experience working with diverse stakeholder groups, preferably online.
  • Outstanding administrative and logistical ability, including complex project management.
  • Structured thinking at multiple levels, such as systems change and grasping policy thinking.
  • Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and collegially at all levels of the organization.
  • Effective communication of complex concepts and technical information in a way that builds confidence within the team, as well as the ability to work and communicate across cultures, being aware of potential biases, especially regarding Gender, Equity, and Social Inclusion.
  • Ability to navigate a constantly evolving organizational environment, making constructive contributions according to different scenarios.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Estimated salary: R$161,320 - R$218,000 per year, based on experience and skills.
  • Domestic and international travel is part of the job, estimated average 4-5 times annually.
  • This role has two reporting lines, to the Regional Director for Latin America and to the Regional Director for North America.
  • You may work remotely from any location in the world for 10 days per calendar year.
  • An online assessment can be part of the recruitment process, and reference checks are part of the final hiring procedure.
