The Role Overview:
The Senior Strategic Partner Manager is tasked with maintaining productive business relationships with Global System Integrators, ISV embedded partners, and potential partners who either resell the Sovos platform or provide referrals that contribute to new business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Establish and nurture strategic alliances with global system integrators, ISVs, or tax advisory firms, implementing a model capable of year-over-year growth while driving partner revenues to meet and exceed global sales objectives.
  2. Develop and maintain sustainable and mutually beneficial relationships with these strategic alliance partners to foster joint organizational and financial investments by both Sovos and its partners.
  3. Enhance the alliance's contribution to the business, measured in license bookings, revenue, and pipeline creation.
  4. Collaborate with regional Account Executives and sales leadership to leverage our partner relationships for entry into new accounts and growth within established accounts.
  5. Formulate a model for building capacity with partners and equip sales teams with the readiness and enablement to pursue market share improvements among partners.
  6. Create comprehensive business plans with key stakeholders for each partner, ensuring that commercial goals are defined and achieved.
  7. Establish a regular business cadence, including Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and ongoing executive alignment internally.
  8. Maintain a personal presence and high visibility in the field, actively driving collaboration on opportunities with partners and Sovos direct sales teams.
  9. Work alongside Product, Sales, and Marketing teams to ensure partner coverage, drive joint solutions, and execute go-to-market programs that generate incremental sales opportunities.
  10. Foster alignment between the partner and Sovos field organizations, continuing to build on the Sovos co-sell culture to create mutually beneficial outcomes with our joint customers.

Qualifications:

  1. 7+ years of proven success in alliance sales within software and services across alliance partners.
  2. Experience in penetrating, onboarding, and expanding alliance partners, including knowledge of business models, contracting, and effective go-to-market strategies.
  3. A strong ability and passion for developing and establishing strategic partnerships while working closely with sales teams in competitive environments.
  4. A demonstrated track record of achieving sales objectives and accurately forecasting partner business.
  5. A growth mindset in an organization that is developing its partner ecosystem.
  6. Excellent collaboration skills with relevant internal stakeholders.
  7. Willingness to travel within Latin America as required.
  8. Extensive partner management experience and empathy towards partners.
  9. Strong business and partner development acumen.
  10. A proven history of successful revenue contributions through partners.
  11. Ability to create and implement partner business plans that drive revenue goals.
  12. An MBA is advantageous but not a substitute for practical experience.
