Job Overview

The Partner Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in driving business growth by fostering strong relationships with partners, expanding Canonical market share, and promoting the partnership.

Main Responsibilities
  • Build strategic alliances and empower partner teams through effective partnership enablement.
  • Develop pipelines and execute opportunities through IHV partnerships.
  • Enhance partner awareness of open-source capabilities on Canonical Ubuntu.
  • Demonstrate expertise in the Linux and cloud software ecosystem.
  • Deliver results-driven performance, align with objectives, and provide partner insights.
  • Regular travel is required to drive partnerships in-person.
  • Collaborate with internal Canonical field teams to identify, support, grow, and transact opportunities.
  • Expand existing footholds with IHV customers, aiming to upsell to broader portfolios.
  • Contribute to broader strategy, initiatives, and key campaigns.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in alliance or indirect sales management roles.
  • A self-motivated, disciplined individual with a hands-on approach.
  • Ability to capture customer needs, evaluate gaps, and identify opportunities.
  • Passion for Ubuntu products and mission.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-pressure environments with measurable goals.
  • Experience with Linux, virtualization, containers, and other cloud technologies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • A team player with exceptional accountability and customer support skills.
  • Credibility and working knowledge of IHVs – their products, go-to-market motion, and field.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and a track record of operational excellence.
  • Willingsness to travel up to 4 times annually for internal events.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce and Google Suite is a plus.
