Human Resources Business Partner Job Description

This role is responsible for providing strategic HR guidance and support to line management in achieving organizational goals.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Offer expert insights into business unit restructuring, workforce planning, and succession planning to inform long-term organizational strategies.
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR Team to develop data-driven solutions that optimize organizational performance.
  • Manage complex employee relations issues through thorough investigations and objective decision-making for effective resolution.
  • Provide authoritative guidance and interpretation of HR policies to ensure consistency and compliance throughout the organization.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of legal requirements to mitigate risks and collaborate with the legal department as needed for compliance assurance.
  • Guide management in day-to-day performance management, offering support in coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions.
  • Cultivate positive work relationships with management and employees to enhance morale and drive productivity and retention.
  • Identify training needs and provide coaching while participating in evaluating and monitoring training programs to ensure their success.
Requirements:
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
  • Business acumen and focus, with active participation in business unit leadership teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal and customer service skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
