Position Overview:
If you possess an innate enthusiasm for emerging technologies, innovation, and advanced solutions, the Technical Sales Consultant role at MicroStrategy is tailored for you.
In this position, you will collaborate closely with our Sales and Customer Success Management teams to deliver technical solutions to both prospective and current clients. Your responsibilities will include crafting solutions that effectively address and resolve client business challenges while instilling confidence in our technology platform and alleviating any technical concerns throughout the sales process.
Our Technical Sales Consultants play a pivotal role in the customer engagement lifecycle, actively contributing to pipeline development by supporting marketing initiatives, content creation, and MicroStrategy events. The ideal candidate will adopt a consultative sales methodology and appreciate the significance of teamwork. This role is essential to the success of our Sales organization in articulating and demonstrating how we offer cost-efficient solutions that provide tangible business value to our clients.
Your Responsibilities:
- Comprehend client objectives and challenges through successful engagement and clarify how we can enhance their architecture.
- Design, develop, and present tailored demonstrations and presentations that highlight key business benefits for our prospects.
- Assume technical leadership of the sales opportunity, address objections, and oversee various aspects of the sales cycle.
- Manage multiple client interactions concurrently.
- Research, outline, and respond to client RFIs and RFPs, proactively sharing results with all team members.
- Support and collaborate with MicroStrategy Partners to identify and define joint opportunities.
- Stay informed about our demonstration content and product positioning, and be an early adopter of these updates.
- Confidently present and convey the business value of the MicroStrategy platform at all levels within the client's organization.
- Continuously learn and develop expertise in MicroStrategy software through training sessions and independent work assignments, utilizing this knowledge to enhance proficiency in MicroStrategy software, including new releases.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of substantial experience in a similar Technical Sales Consultant (Pre-sales) role, supporting sales cycles for Business Intelligence or other high-value business solutions.
- Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., MicroStrategy, Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik, SAP Analytics Cloud, Quick Sight, Business Objects, Cognos, Looker). Specific experience with MicroStrategy is a significant advantage.
- General understanding of AI and prompt engineering.
- Proficient in SQL.
- Knowledge of relational databases, data warehousing, ETL, web services, and SaaS technologies.
- Experience in SaaS and Cloud-based sales with major Hyperscalers (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills focused on requirement gathering, positioning, and identifying business value.
- Advanced oral and written communication skills in English.

This is a hybrid position, requiring attendance at the office once a week, as well as participation in events or client meetings.
